Nourtech: Leaflets Still Work.

This local electrician was excellent at his craft but faced a common challenge—he wasn’t attracting enough customers. 

Like many skilled tradespeople, he relied heavily on word-of-mouth referrals, which were valuable but unpredictable. Some weeks were packed, while others were dead silent. 

With no website or marketing strategy, he was essentially waiting for the phone to ring.

He realized it was time to take control and make his business more consistent, but with a limited budget, he wasn’t sure where to start. 

That’s when he reached out.


The Challenge

The electrician’s situation wasn’t unique, but it was urgent. 

He had:

  • Zero online presence: Potential customers couldn’t find him online or read reviews.
  • Unpredictable customer flow: Relying on word-of-mouth meant business was inconsistent.
  • A limited budget: Without much to spend, traditional marketing options like paid ads weren’t feasible.


So I needed to make him more visible without breaking the bank.


The Strategy

Since there wasn’t enough budget for online ads, I recommended a cost-effective approach: leaflets  

Most people don't use leaflets anymore. 

They just search {insert service here} near me on google 

It's much more convenient right? 

Right? 


This is why nobody just threw mine away.


We targeted specific areas using criteria similar to online ad targeting:


  • Areas with Older Homes


  • Areas where Homeowners invest more in long-term property improvements.


  • Homes with Visible Solar Panels or EV Chargers 


And a few more I've been asked not to say. 


Why people not only kept them, but called the number.


The leaflet had a rock solid offer.

 he was an experienced electrician. 

and less than an hour away. 

I Knocked on every door I left the leaflets at. 

I had a conversation specifically designed for them to remember the business.


I made it more convenient to call him than to search for someone else. 


They saved his number. 

And those who needed him, called him.

And he'd turn up, do such a good job, the vast majority of people called him again whenever they needed another upgrade.

This combination gave the electrician a credible online presence and an accessible way for customers to contact him. 



The Results:

In the weeks following the launch of the leaflet campaign and website, there was a noticeable shift:

  • Consistent inquiries: The leaflets generated calls from homeowners fitting the target profile, from minor repairs to larger electrical upgrades.
  • Increased trust: The website added credibility, allowing potential customers to learn more about his work before getting in touch.
  • Business stability: With a steady flow of leads, he was able to plan his workweeks more predictably, leading to more consistent revenue.
